Roraback Campaign Raises Over $164,000 in Past Fundraising Quarter Raises More Than All Republican Challengers Combined
State Senator Andrew Roraback today released his filing to the FEC reporting his fundraising totals from the last quarter. His congressional campaign for the 5th district raised more than $164,000 in the second fundraising quarter of 2012 from 450 donors with 406 of them coming from Connecticut. In the preceding quarter, the campaign raised $134,307 from almost 500 donors. Roraback begins this quarter with $263,980.36 cash on hand. Roraback raised more in this quarter than all other Republican primary candidates in the 5th district combined. He also raised more than all but one of his Democratic rivals.
2nd Quarter Fundraising Total: $164,631
2nd Quarter Fundraising Total: $91,476.50
2nd Quarter Fundraising Total: $60,323.66
2nd Quarter Fundraising Total: $4,763.49
“I am pleased to report the growing success we continue to experience in attracting financial support from citizens throughout the district,” said Roraback. “The fact that I earned the endorsement of the Republican Party at the May convention has given donors additional confidence that I am the candidate best qualified to represent the Republican Party and win in November. While it is a necessity to raise funds for this race, money alone does not carry a candidate to victory. Our campaign’s foundation is based upon faithfulness to Republican principles, integrity, and a proven record of public service. It is my ambition to earn the confidence of all voters in the 5th district that I will represent their interests in Congress with a commitment to solving the serious problems facing our country.”
