To say the arrest of Robert Braddock Jr., (the former campaign finance director for CT Speaker of the House Chris Donovan’s (D) U.S. Congressional campaign),came as a surprise would be less than honest. After all it was just this past March 13, 2012 when a sworn affidavit signed by Braddock on July 27, 2011 was filed in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia on behalf of his former employer Daniel Parisi and Whitehouse.com where Braddock clearly contradicts his own publicly posted resume. Many may wonder why this is important, but as Connecticut Post reporter Tom Cleary reported on May 31, 2012 in Campaign operative known to ‘get results’

Before becoming finance director for Donovan’s congressional bid, Braddock — arrested Wednesday by federal authorities and charged with conspiring to conceal campaign donations — had no history in Connecticut politics. (Bold & italics emphasis added)

CT’s Democratic Speaker of the House, Christopher Donovan himself is reportedly a target by the FBI corruption investigation which has already ensnared Braddock, and it appears that Donovan rather than being forthright with CT voters has taken the all too common stance of lawyering up and making the usual politicians claims of ‘I did not know about my campaign staffers actions.’ This however might not be enough to save Chris Donovan.

As Tom Cleary touched on in his CT Post report, Robert Braddock Jr. has no history before being hired by Donovan in CT politics; in fact if you take a look back just four years ago, “according” to Braddock he had no history in politics anywhere. Let’s take a brief trip in time.

This writer in January 2008 made same very public allegations concerning Barack Obama. The allegations are clearly detailed in the 2009 book Barack Obama & Larry Sinclair: Cocaine, Sex, Lies & Murder? But as a brief history, this writer accuses Barack Obama of using crack cocaine and engaging in consensual homosexual sex in November 1999 which took place between this writer and then IL State Senator Barack Obama. In February 2008 enters Robert (Rob) Braddock Jr.; his employer Dan Parisi and Whitehouse.com in what according to public record (Daniel Parisi et al vs. Lawrence W. Sinclair et al US District Court for DC 1:10-CV-00897-RJL Dismissed Feb 28, 2012) was an attempt to use the allegations made against Barack Obama as a publicity maker for the now defunct Whitehouse.com web site which was most well known for its past pornographic content.

NOTE: Daniel Parisi & Whitehouse.com has since denied the allegations made by this author in the 2009 book Barack Obama & Larry Sinclair: Cocaine, Sex, Lies & Murder? However the Author still believes the statements to be truthful and has seen nothing in the almost 2 years of litigating a $30 million defamation suit (dismissed by Judge R.J. Leon Feb 28, 2012) which makes him believe otherwise.

In 2004, Braddock began working for political entertainment website whitehouse.com, best known for splashing pornographic photos in the faces of unsuspecting people looking for a government website about the president.

During his time with whitehouse.com, Braddock, then an assistant to editor Dan Parisi, videotaped a polygraph test of Larry Sinclair, author of the controversial 2008 book, “Barack Obama & Larry Sinclair: Cocaine, Sex, Lies and Murder.” In the book, Sinclair claims he had sex with and did drugs with Obama. Whitehouse.com offered Sinclair $10,000 to take the test and $100,000 if he passed.

Since that fateful February 2008 encounter with Robert (Rob) Braddock Jr. this writer, along with the assistance of others has continued to investigate who and what Rob Braddock is, compared to who & what Braddock said he was/is. This investigation has led to some interesting discoveries which make the arrest of Braddock even more interesting.

Since Braddock’s arrest on May 30, 2012 by CT State Police and FBI Agents we have discovered that Braddock has been doing some strategic web scrubbing of profiles and associates. For example, the below image is a screen shot of what Braddock’s Google + profile used to look like before his arrest:

It’s important to note that it was only because the State of Connecticut’s computer system from West Hartford went into overdrive on May 31, 2012 that Braddock’s arrest even caught our attention. We simply were not overly concerned with who Braddock lied to or attempted to gain favor from with all that our nation is currently facing. One visit from the State of Connecticut (resulting from Google searches for images of Rob Braddock Jr) at Daniel Parisi et al v Lawrence W. Sinclair et al spent more than 2 hours reading up on anything they could find with Braddock’s name.

It appears Sinclair News has drawn the attention of Braddock and his politically active friends and former co-workers since our June 1, 2012 article Former Whitehouse.com Director of Business Development Arrested, and that our article may well be the reason Braddock began editing his online profiles. Before Braddock’s recent editing of his Google + profile he was publicly linked to current Obama administration employee’s including Brook Colangelo (left) Chief Information Officer at Executive Office of the President who from 2007-2009 was the CIO of the Democratic National Convention Committee as well as multiple active democratic political activist and groups. Why Braddock would feel the need to edit these once proud political connections begs an explanation. Who recommended Braddock for his Campaign Finance Director position with CT Speaker Christopher Donovan’s US Congressional campaign is yet another question we believe could be very telling. Problem is no one, not Donovan or his recently hired mouthpieces are talking.

How does a guy who claims in the height of the biggest election in US history that he is not associated or connected with any political candidate or party go from NO experience at all to working on not one, but three different democratic campaigns in a matter of months?

It has been floated about that some in CT suspect Braddock’s name was provided to Speaker Donovan by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, which if true again raises the question, why? Not to mention ‘How did Braddock go from a nobody to a DCCC recommended money man?

Donovan may claim “I knew nothing about the actions of my staff,” but one thing is perfectly clear about Robert Braddock; Robert Braddock is without a doubt an individual who has no problem what-so-ever lying to get what he wants. Not only has Braddock lied, he has lied in a manner which implies his lies are with full knowledge and agreement by the ones he represents. If there is any doubt about that, you only have to watch the video of Braddock recorded on Feb 22, 2008 in Los Angeles.

Gelb: When you gonna give this guy the results?

Braddock (in a whispering tone): He’s not gonna know shit until it goes up on the web site.

Braddock (in normal voice): Well let’s put it like this. WE were planning on telling him there is no certification, there is no concrete result (uses hands to punctuate)…”

According to the excerpts from the FBI’s recorded phone conversations with Braddock it appears Braddock has changed little when it comes to his comfort zone in lying or conspiring to lie, in order to further his own goals or the goals of those he works for.

While it appears Donovan wants to play the clueless game, Donovan might not want to sit back and hope Braddock will take the bullet for him as others have done for politicians in the past. Braddock having to boast about himself, is one overly obsessed with pride, and pride is something that can and will come back to bite you or those around you. Donovan needs to step up to the plate and answer some very direct questions, such as:

1. Did you know Robert Braddock was accepting campaign contributions made under false names?
2. Have you EVER knowingly accepted a campaign contribution in exchange for political favors?
3. Did you know your Finance Director had filed a sworn affidavit under oath in a Federal Court which contradicted his own publicly published professional resume?
4. Were you aware that Finance Director Braddock is own video-tape from 2008 lying and conspiring to lie for his and/or his employers benefit?
5. How did you come to hire Robert Braddock as your campaign Finance Director?
6. Has the FBI questioned you concerning the allegations made against Braddock?

In addition to Donovan, the FBI should be asked some questions as well; if for no other reason than to assure CT citizens they have not made Braddock to be the fall guy in order to allow Donovan to slide out of a political corruption charge. Questions that the FBI should be asked:

1. Has the FBI aggressively interviewed/questioned Speaker Donovan regarding the illegal campaign contributions?
2. Has the FBI offered Robert Braddock and deal in exchange for information leading to the indictment of Christopher Donovan?
3. Has Braddock made any statements incriminating Donovan or asserting Donovan had knowledge of the illegal campaign contributions?

The list could go on and on as for what should be asked, the problem is Donovan has no intention of answering any questions; nor is this the first time Donovan has been rumored to be involved in corruption. According to sources in CT Donovan is believed to be one of the most corrupt of CT politicians, and the fact that he employed someone like Robert Braddock doesn’t do anything to contradict those claims.

CT citizens might want to take notice of this case as it unfolds, and they might want to demand answers as to how Donovan and Braddock came to cross paths, one thing is for certain: until his arrest on Wednesday, Braddock indeed had no history in CT Politics and some in CT today might be wishing he had kept it that way.

It appears that Mr. Donovan and his recently retained Shelly Sadin a white-collar criminal defense lawyer associated with the Bridgeport firm of Zeldes Needle & Cooper, might be rethinking Donovan’s original strategy of playing ‘clueless,’ in an effort to keep from being a target in the Braddock affair.

A CTMirror report put it this way: “Donovan is under no legal prohibition to refrain from discussing the case, but his lawyer, Shelley R. Sadin, is intent on keeping on good terms with the U.S. attorney’s office as Donovan tries to remain a witness, not a target.”
