Baltimore – The second leg of the U.S. Triple Crown is set to go off at 6:05PM post time. The race will be broadcast starting at 4:30PM on NBC. The Preakness stakes is a Thoroughbred horse race held for three year olds on the third Saturday of each May. Considered the middle jewel of the Triple Crown coming after the Kentucky Derby and before The Belmont Stakes the race carries a million dollar prize for the winner. In addition to the money, a wreath of Black-Eyed Susan’s is placed around the winning horse rather than the traditional roses. The temperature in Baltimore today is in the low eighties and the track condition is considered firm. Kentucky Derby winner “I’ll Have Another” will be running as well as runner up “Bodemeister.”

As previously published on the day of the Derby:

William Landers, the CEO and founder of Ameriborn News Network has his own notable history as a horse handicapper. In November of 1999, Landers won the Foxwoods Ultimate Breeders Cup which netted him some nice prize money. That win allowed him to compete in the first ever National Handicap Championship in Las Vegas in January of 2000 – and he almost won. There is prize money today as the annual championship has evolved for some of the titles he won in Vegas that week, but the original competition at the time left Landers in second walking away without the big cash prize, but a memorable surprise gift.

Landers picked the winning horses this past Kentucky Derby 2012 that he predicted and posted on Ameriborn News.

William Landers Picks For The Preakness

The race should go off with Bodemeister in the lead. He should lead most of the way going into the top of the stretch, this is where two things could happen.

  1. He begins to pull away and drive hard and wins the Preakness.
  2. He tries to pull away but weakens and either I’ll have another or Zetterholm  closes quickly and strongly passing him at the wire.

The best way to make this bet is:

Exacta (7-4-9) over (7-4-5-9) for $2 your cost 18. I will bet it for $10 my cost $90

Trifecta (7-4-9) with (7-4-5-9) with (7-4-9-5-6-) for $1 cost $45. I will bet it for $5 my cost $225

Superfecta (7-4-9) with (7-4-5-9) with (7-4-9-5-6-) with (7-4-9-5-6-8-2) for $1 your cost $144 I will play it for the same amount.

I am playing the 7 to win for $100 and the 9 to win for $50
