Southbury – Litchfield businessman Mark Greenberg who is seeking the Republican Party Nomination this Friday, sent out an email to his supporters today that included an invitation to his hospitality suite at theConnecticutConvention Center inHartford where the State Convention is being held. This is the candidate’s second run for Congress. Greenberg ran in 2010 as a newcomer who successfully petitioned his way on to the ballot by gathering enough signatures to qualify to participate in the August primary. He won three towns:Danbury, Woodbury and Warren. Announcing early in the fall of 2011 he would make a second attempt to become the party nominee in 2012, Greenberg has worked hard with the district’s forty one towns who are more familiar with the conservative Republican this time around who also has tea party support.
The GOP Convention this Friday will choose their nominees for all five Congressional districts and for U.S. Senate. There are five candidates seeking the fifth district party endorsement: Mr. Greenberg, State Senator Andrew Roraback (R-30), formerFarmingtontown council chairman Mike Clark, former 2010 Lt. Governor Candidate Lisa Wilson-Foley and veteran and former CT National Guard liaison Justin Bernier who also sought the nomination in 2010. It’s a tight race with most of the candidates having received a variety of endorsements from Republican Town Committees and Chairmen, Legislators retired and sitting and organizations many which have been published here on American News Network over the months. Here are candidate Mark Greenberg’s as listed on his campaign website: (For a complete list of endorsement quotes go to link: http://www.markgreenbergforcongress.com/contact-mark/endorse-mark/
