New Orleans, LA – On Friday, the busiest day of three at the SRL conference held at the Hotel Hilton Riverside, Presidential candidate Rick Santorum took the podium in a tough time slot on the speaker schedule following popular Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann. Ameriborn News included, most of the press rushed upstairs to the private media room that allowed Q and A time with speakers and in this instance, Mrs. Bachmann. Still, we knew our camera was rolling and would capture everything the former Pennsylvania Senator had to say until we returned to the grand ballroom.
“God bless the tea party for what they did in this last election; we would not be where we are today without them. We saw it percolate up; we saw this energy; we saw this anxiety – almost fear but yet resolve to confront the problems that face this country.”
Mr. Santorium continued as a result of the polocies of this administration the economy has gotten worse and worse and worse. “Try to climb a hill with Barack Obama and the rest of the Democrat caucus on your shoulders.”
”Remember in the seventies liberal wasn’t a bad word,” Sen. Santorum pointed out during one portion of his speech. In comparison to foreign countries, Santorum compared Obama policy to Greece saying, look what’s going on in Greece. If Obamacare goes into law this is our future, he warned. About the President, he told listeners, “Barack does not believe in you, he believes in himself. Our President doesn’t know who we are, he just knows who he is.” Speaking proudly about Americans, Mr. Santorum said, “we cherish freedom. It’s in our DNA.”
