State Rep. Chris Coutu raises 50K in first quarter for congressional campaign
Norwich
- State Representative and Congressional Candidate Christopher Coutu announced
he raised $50,841 in his first quarter. Over 96% of the contributions were from
Connecticut residents.
Christopher Coutu stated, “I’m truly humbled by the outpouring of support we’ve seen from hundreds
of donors across the second district in just the first few months of this
campaign.”
“I am very impressed with Chris Coutu’s fund raising numbers at this early stage of
the game. It reminds me of when I ran against Sam Gedjenson and had very
similar numbers at the end of June 1999 — eighteen months before the election.
I think it reflects voter dissatisfaction with Joe Courtney’s extreme record in
Washington, DC, voting with Nancy Pelosi 98% of the time,” said former
2nd District Congressman Rob Simmons.
