Southern Republican Leadership Conference: President Obama impersonator Reggie Brown
New Orleans, LA – A surprise speaker took the stage Saturday afternoon at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference being held at the Hotel Hilton Riverside in New Orleans. Stepping out to speak to the conference attendees accompanied by the traditional “Hail to the Chief” music reserved for Presidents of the United States, President Obama impersonator Reggie Brown amused the delighted audience with his quips about Republican presidential candidates for 2012, the President’s own life and performance as President, and other newsworthy political stories relevant at this time. His impersonation of Obama down to a tee, from the delivery of his speech with it’s well known pauses and inflections, to his twin like appearance, he made his observations and jokes to projected images on the screens that surrounded the stage. Getting responses from jeers to laughter to applause he said a lot of things everybody thinks but in today’s politically correct environment are rarely said and dished it out equally to both sides. As refreshing as this was to most everyone in the room, conference directors cut his presentation a little short for fear of offending those prone to being easily offended and with sparse sense of humors. His slightly early exit wasn’t noticed by guests but learned about later in the press. A native from Chicago, Mr. Brown is someone Ameriborn hopes to see utilized often in the future.
